Great Keaton Short
One of my favorites, as it . The first act features a house he shares with his room-mate, filled with bachelor-type double duty devices that are quite clever--and they come into play later in the film. Once they leave the house we see those 2 are rivals for the girl's affection. In this act, Keaton is chased by the girl's dog Luke the pit bull--in, around, and atop an abandoned building. Luke chases Keaton in, around, and through the the bachelor pad, too. Finally, to escape the clever cur, Keaton dives into a hay stack, where he's run through the baling machine. Luckily, he comes out ok even though the machine strips him of his clothes (the "chaff") and he and Luke make friends. The third act is where Buster hides his shameful state of undress by donning a scarecrow's outfit, which provides an opportunity to kick both rival and girl's father with impunity. Don't worry--in the end, Buster gets the girl (in a rather inadvertent manner!) This film always makes me laugh.

Better than I expected
I didn't expect to favorably review a silent movie. I had not heard of Buster Keaton. This film has very few full screen text dialogs so it doesn't break the flow.
I enjoyed the first part in the house when they are sitting down for a meal. My favorite scene is when they walk out of the house and up to the fence. After the fence, I thought it dragged on and it was too predictable.

crazy, crazier, Buster Keaton
This is far the best film of Buster Keaton I have seen so far; and I have seen plenty.
Watch and enjoy. The beginning is nice made and it is funny to see how they organize their household; it shows quite clear that men can do so, too; even though it might not be in this particular manner.
And after that slow beginning.. of course the whole Buster circus... fast and furious. Pure entertainment.
